“The 2016 Connecticut Good Projects” was successfully launched in February 27th, 2016 at Yale University School of Medicine. Approximately 60 professional fellows, scientists, professors, and students from universities and pharmaceutical companies in Connecticut participated in the event. The Mayor of Bridgeport, Mr. Joseph P. Ganim, was invited and addressed the governmental policies and support for “the Connecticut Good Projects” .

The opening ceremony and forum were co-organized by the Chinese Association for Science & Technology in Connecticut (CAST-CT), the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association-Connecticut (SAPA-CT), and the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Yale (ACSSY).

At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Guoying Yu, the president of CAST-CT, Dr. Steven Yu, the president-elect of SAPA-CT, and Mr. Zhemin Xuan, the president of ACSSY gave brief opening remarks, respectively, and introduced their organizations and the mission of “the Connecticut Good Projects”. During the open forum, five outstanding speakers from different fields shared their personal career developmental experience on commercialization of good projects, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills as well as winning career strategies.

After the talks, all attendants further participated in a panel discussion section on specific project plans and business management experience in the project development. The ceremony was closed with final remarks from Dr. Guoying Yu and the event successfully bridged between the entrepreneurs and investors and facilitated the transformation and commercialization of new technologies and innovations in Connecticut. It will continue serving as a platform for future good projects incubation and development in Connecticut.
